During Term 4 2014, the following Community Learning Projects (CLP) related to their home communities will be undertaken by each of the School Teams:

Wangaratta High School Boots For Kids

MOTTO:
Kicking Goals For Kids

“Why is this project important to us?”
This project is important to us because we believe that everybody should be able to enjoy sports to their full potential no matter where or how they live.

Our Teams Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
We aim to collect football boots that are donated from families in the local area and redistribute them to remote indigenous areas. We have placed bins to collect Football boots in local primary schools and to help us achieve this goal we are working with VCFL (Victorian Country Football League) and AFL Australia.

Boort District School Ride to School Day

MOTTO:
Keeping active is the key to a happier and healthier life.

“Why is this project important to us?”
It is important to us because we want to promote a healthy and happy lifestyle within the community and to provide proper bike parking facilities for our School.

Our Team's Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
We believe that being physically active everyday can lead to a happier and healthier school community.

Doncaster Secondary College Down’s Syndrome Awareness

MOTTO:
Up with the “Down’s”

“Why is this project important to us?”
We would like to make our community become aware that Down’s Syndrome kids are the same as us apart from a few things they may find hard.

Our Team's Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
To educate others about Down’s Syndrome through information packages and combined activities to help Down’s Syndrome kids feel accepted and included into our community.

Yea High The Kinglake/Yea Bike Trail

MOTTO:
Ride Safe, Be Safe

“Why is this project important to us?”
This project is important to us because it encourages youth to be more active and being safe while riding next to the roads.

Our Team's Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
We will work with the Great Victorian Rail Trail, as well as with the Murrindindi Council and the township of Kinglake.

Euroa Secondary College Transition Video for Year 7’s.

MOTTO:
Year Seven Heaven

“Why is this project important to us?”
This project is important because it’s a common concern among Year 6’s and we have felt intimidated and nervous about the prospect of high school.

Our Team's Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
We want Year 6’s to feel confident about their transition to high school. We will create a short video demonstrating a Year 7’s average day. We will also talk to current Year 7’s and teachers in the video to clear up concerns the grade 6’s may have.

Scoresby Youth Mental Health Festival

MOTTO:

“Why is this project important to us?”
To raise awareness for mental health in the communities youth members.

Our Team's Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
This is a festivals bringing the community together and working to help youth and issues affecting them.

Mullauna College Paws for a Cause

MOTTO:
They don’t have a choice, give ‘em a voice.

“Why is this project important to us?”
We are doing this as we believe animals don’t have a say, so we need to help ensure animals are treated with the freedom and respect they deserve

Our Team's Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
Our team vision is to raise money and awareness for animal welfare throughout local community and the RSPCA

Kew High School Shining a light through dark times

MOTTO:
Giving a helping hand to hospitalized kids and their families

“Why is this project important to us?”
We’ve been privileged enough to have this opportunity and this is our way of giving back to children who are going through tough times

Our Teams Vision and the Actions We Will Take:
We wish to contribute to an atmosphere where hospitalised kids and their siblings can take their mind of their illness. We are hoping to work with the Starlight Foundation for 2 weekends where we can add value to their program. Eg: running art workshops
